My favourite parts of this film were the spray bottle on the trampoline, the gentle way Sarah would hold her children and play with their hair. The airplane rides on their Daddy’s feet (who also happens to be a pilot which makes this game extra special in my eyes). The tree swing and the game Daddy would play, playfully telling them to go away as they came back to him. Seeing Mum heavily pregnant with twins, and still carrying her youngest in her arms, providing patience and support even though she’s probably tired and exhausted. Sarah and Nick are inspirational parents to be around and I’m truly honoured each time I go to their house.
Read MoreWhen I first met Miriam and her husband during a Zoom call earlier this year, I knew I was going to fall in love with their family. These parents.... Oh my goodness. The love and patience they have for their children was so inspiring to witness - but even more so was the strength and bond of their marriage that I got to witness. It’s not overly obvious, it’s humble and kind. It’s a strength that comes from long days with three tiny children, from staying kind, and from being patient with each other. I could see tiny moments of their bond in between the chaos of three children and it made my heart feel so full for these girls that have such a beautiful home and life full of love thanks to their parents. This is what I wanted to show them in the film. The way their parents love them, but also the way they love each other. ❤️
Read MoreI'm not even sure where to begin with this family.... They have meant so much to me over the last few years, beginning with the year in the life I did for their oldest child, through to this year in the life I've done for their youngest. I was also lucky enough to document their beautiful wedding last month, but more on that later ;)
Read MoreOne of my favourite people in the world invited me into her home to document a piece of her life and my heart is so full with gratitude for her. I wish I could have stayed longer, she is such a kindred spirit.
Read MoreI really love it when families are willing to let me arrive really early in the morning, before anyone is out of bed. It's a vulnerable period of the day for most people, and the privilege to be able to spend those early morning hours with them is not lost on me. This family is one that I've known for several years now, and when I found out they were expecting their second baby I was so thrilled to be asked to come and document the early days of life with a toddler and newborn for them.
Read MoreI have felt such a strong calling lately to create a set of images that I have in my mind of how children see their mothers. Not just of motherhood itself, although that's important to me as well, but images for the children, the way THEY see their mother. Beautiful and soft, yet carrying so much strength within her. When you look at these images I made for Emma and her family, I hope you'll see that as well.
